I grew up in a small town on the low mountain range called Eifel in East Belgium; born as October’s child right in the middle of Libra.
My professional journey started with my online platform The C Sphere in 2015 - My visual diary, my journal, born during my studies. After graduating from both the Brussels Business Institute for Hospitality Management and later the University for the Creative Arts, I opted to pursue a career in the fashion industry and moved to London for what I thought was going to be for good. That was until 8 months later, I left my job to go my own way and booked a one-way ticket to Southeast Asia. Closer to the heart of fashion production, to work closely with brands and artisans alike and travel fulltime as I go. As a Libra, I’ve got a deep sensitivity to the beauty of art, and I wanted to contribute to the preservation of craftsmanship and traditional arts in the fashion industry.
I founded the sustainable branding and communications agency C for Conscious end of 2018 and later added C for Conscious Travel to bring my hospitality background in - I missed working in the tourism industry, and it has never been quite enough for me to work in a single industry at a time. I have since been building brands and businesses with a positive impact on both people and the environment. Giving back it at the heart of everything I do, and I continue to work on sustainability and fashion initiatives worldwide.
I think that through my young age, I can represent the voice of a new generation of industry creatives. The ones that stand for a purpose and are committed to making a difference. I want to keep finding ways to build bridges between the opportunities available in developing and developed countries while helping both the fashion and the travel industries become more sustainable - step by step. Because true to my astrological sign, my ideal world is one that’s balanced and fair.
Living by Alan Ashley-Pitt’s quote “The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before.”, the most important thing for me right now is to be an enthusiast in life. Whenever I’m enthusiastic about something, I reach for it. I hope that one day I’ll look back with gratitude and think yes, I lived a happy life.
